This program focuses heavily on English skills but has a practical component as well which is the internship. We manage this program as a sponsor, together with the U.S. State Department and the South Korean Ministry of Education. IIEEX has been proud to serve as a designated sponsor for the Korea WEST 12-Month and the Korea WEST Plus programs since 2016. The program’s components include language school, nternship in the field of study and on month of travel across the country.

Language Schools in San Diego
IIEEX program participants will have their choice of 2 different language schools on 3 beautiful campuses, located in the sunny and exciting city of San Diego, California. During the two or three months of language school, the students will get intensive training in the English language and develop skills necessary to succeed in any business environment. The high-quality learning environment includes comfortable classrooms, libraries, student lounges, and computer labs.
Internship Across the USA
A major part of the Korea WEST program is the internship phase. IIEEX will help Korean students find a suitable placement in their field of studies – U.S. wide. We work with many great companies from various industries that are located in all major cities and regions across the country. Our internships provide on-the-job exposure to techniques, methodologies, and expertise, and enhance your knowledge of a foreign culture and lifestyle. During the time of the internship, the participant will be assigned an individual company supervisor to mentor and guide them personally.
Travel Across the USA
Congratulations! After Korea WEST participants have successfully finish their internships, they have the opportunity to travel across the country for one more month before returning to South Korea. Participants get to explore big cities, national parks, beaches, and more.
